Abstract

Azuelene molecules have attracted much interest in view of their anomalous fluorescence behavior in the S1 and S2 states. The S1 lifetime is severely shortened by nonradiative decay due to anomalous internal conversion. Many attempts have been made to observe the S1 lifetime with ultrafast spectroscopy[1,2].
