Abstract
The investigation of the coupled three-wave solitons has been intensified[1,2] since the first experimental observation[3] of the soliton structures in stimulated Raman scattering in CO2-pumped para-H2. In this report we present an analysis for a new type of three-wave soliton formation under Raman interaction of two excitonic polariton waves in direct-gap semi-conductors. The large optical nonlinearity of these materials in the vicinity of the exciton transition allows to use electromagnetic pulses of moderate intensity.
