Abstract
Recently optical properties of semiconductor microcrystals (quantum wells or dotts) have attracted much interest. This is because semiconductor microcrystals are expected to have nobel optical properties in the same way as semiconductor quantum wells. Especially, semiconductor microcrystals are expected to have high optical nonlinearity. Therefore they have the potential to become nobel optoelectric devices which are useful in the optical information processing.
