Advanced metamaterial devices for broadband mode conversion and multiplexing

Abstract

In this invited contribution, we present our recent advances in metamaterial devices for mode conversion and multiplexing in silicon photonics. We report on performance enhancements through subwavelength structures and explore novel topologies for higher-order mode operation.
