Abstract

We present a mature CMOS photonics technology platform suitable for design, simulation and manufacturing of a variety of high performance optical transceivers. We will highlight some key technology differentiators such as light coupling to optical fibers and very close integration of electronic and photonic devices. The capabilities of the technology platform are illustrated with some examples. Finally we present a roadmap towards higher speed, denser data transmission and closer integration with electronics circuits.
