Abstract

The TE/TM mode splitter (MS) and TE/TM mode converter (MC) are key components of the passive polarization diversity circuit. The aim of this research, which is part of the European RACE 1010 project, is to design MC, MS, and 3-dB couplers for integration on InP by using a common waveguide.
