Abstract
The availability of large size linear detectors for astronomical research requires new approaches to the data analysis. The problems are two-fold (A) large information content and (B) the high speed of such detectors allows a rapid building up of untreated information. We describe here the results obtained by a Monte-Carlo Method, based upon a well defined knowledge of the point spread function. The method is used to derive 2-color (B, V) photometry in the magellanic cloud cluster NGC 121. The results are shown and the usefullness of the method is discussed.
