Abstract

Combined Optical Industries has produced plastics optics for 58 years. Evolution of technology has seen the mirror security systems originally used, replaced largely by polyethylene lenses transmitting from 7-14 microns. The field has broadened to include general & environmental motion detection, & has seen the Fresnel lens joined by the Multilens for specialised applications.
