Abstract
Corrugation structure based semiconductor opical guided-wave devices are very attracive for optical integration circuits. The corrugated waveguide has many desirable functions, such as wavelength selection and distributed optical feedback. DFB/DBR lasers are most successful devices applied this structure. In integrated optical devices based on DFB/DBR lasers, new functions and higher performance will be realized, which can not be realized in solitary lasers. In this paper, we discuss recent progress on wavelength tunable DBR lasers, narrow linewidth DFB lasers and tunable wavelength filters.
