MODIS Thin Cirrus Retrievals Using the 1.38 µm Channel

Abstract

Retrievals of ice cloud optical thickness using the 1.38 µm MODIS channel will be discussed. In particular, this will focus on the case of thin cirrus, in which the current MODIS retrievals have difficulty detecting.
