Abstract
One of advantages of polymer GRIN is to obtain large dimensional GRIN, compared with glass materials. In the case of a radial-GRIN, we have succeeded in preparing a GRIN rod with 20-mm diameter. In the case of an axial-GRIN, the maximum depth of GRIN is 40 mm with Δn=0.05. The other advantage is that many geometric GRIN devices, such as spherical GRIN lens or steric GRIN wavequides, are easily prepared by new technologies presented in this paper.
