Abstract

This study demonstrates optically-induced underwater acoustic source localization using multiple hydrophones by determining the arrival time and peak-to-peak overpressures. The robustness of sensing underwater acoustic signals indicates state-of-the-art for the feasibility study of laser-induced sonar.
