Abstract
In this paper we present the design and development of the Mach Zehnder interferometer (MZI) fabricated in Lithium Niobate by means of femtosecond laser writing. From Silicon platform cooper electrodes were added to the crystal surface in order to perform optical modulation via the electro-optic effect. The main MZI working characteristics are presented and discussed in this work. Among these, a high extinction ratio (>10 dB) and up to 20 MHz of modulation rate are reported.
