Enhancement of high harmonic generation efficiency using incommensurate two colour fields

Abstract

We demonstrate large enhancements in high harmonic generation efficiency driven by two colour laser fields, compared with single colour fields of equivalent energy. The enhancement occurs due to scaling of the ionization rate by the two colour field.
