Modification of Light Transmission Channels by Inhomogeneous Absorption in Random Media

Abstract

We investigate the effects of spatially inhomogeneous absorption on transmission eigenchannels of light in random media. The high transmission channels circumvent absorbing regions and experience less attenuation compared to uniform absorption.
