Abstract
We measure optical frequencies of the D2 and D1 lines in 133Cs using high-resolution spectroscopy and a femtosecond laser frequency comb. Narrow diode lasers probe the 6s 2S1/2-6p 2P1/2 and 6s 2S1/2-6p 2P3/2 transitions in a highly collimated atomic beam. Uncertainties are reduced by more than a factor of 10.
