Abstract
A three year development programme is being funded by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme to advance the technology development of key hardware components and techniques in view of a future far infrared space interferometer. This programme started in 2013 will pursue the definition of the instrument requirements for a double Fourier modulation payload while advancing the beam divider technology for a range of operation of 30-300um, the cryogenic metrology associated to a 4K cryogenic delay line, the possibility of having multiple beam combinations and the technical challenges in the ground based or laboratory validation and calibration campaign.
