HHG at the Carbon K-edge directly driven by SRS red-shifted pulses from an Yb amplifier

Abstract

HHG in gases is driven with pulses from an Yb:CaF2 amplifier post-compressed and redshifted in a nitrogen-filled stretched hollow core fiber. With this driving scheme, we experimentally demonstrated the extension of the HHG cut-off to the Carbon K-edge without the need for laser frequency conversion via parametric processes.
