Precision Atmospheric Wind Measurements with a Frequency Comb Calibrated Laser Heterodyne Radiometer

Abstract

We report atmospheric spectroscopy of CO2 using a frequency comb calibrated laser heterodyne radiometer. The measured spectra exhibit Doppler shifts due to atmospheric wind, and we track the wind-induced shifts with ~10 cm/s precision.
