Abstract

The knowledge of the optical properties of biological tissues in vivo is of great importance for optical techniques presently being developed for medical diagnosis. Extensive studies were performed in vitro, but in vivo only results obtained at single wavelengths or in a limited wavelength range are reported in the literature.
