Abstract

Rydberg atoms exposed to strong external fields provide an ideal testing ground in order to study the correspondence of nonlinear dynamics and quantum mechanics. We present experimental spectra of rubidium Rydberg atoms in pure magnetic as well as crossed magnetic and electric fields.
