Abstract

To describe the dynamics of a system inside a lossy cavity a master equation based on Fox-Li quasi-modes is convenient, as these degrees of freedom form a discrete set. However, the standard damping master equation is strictly valid only for an ideal cavity (with vanishing mirror transmittivities). Recently [1], we derived a generalized master equation for a non-ideal cavity which is of the form.
