Abstract

For a quadratic nonlinear material it has recently been demonstrated [1, 2, 3] that, under suitable conditions , during the interaction between the fundamental and the second harmonic beam , the fundamental beam propagation can be described as a solution of a nonlinear Schroedinger equation, given in terms of spatial solitons [4] : Eq. (1) has been written by using a suitable normalization, and α is linked with the phase match [4].
