Abstract
Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) is widely used for the creation of the new laser light sources in the different spectral regions. The statistical properties of such sources are important for many applications. SRS at coherent pumping demonstrated the quantum noise manifestation in Stokes pulse energy fluctuations [1]. The question of interest is an additional effect of pumping laser noise on these fluctuations. Here we report the results of the experimental studies of Stokes pulse energy statistics at superbroadband pumping, when the spectral bandwidth of the pump radiation is more than 103 times larger in comparison with Raman linewidth.
