Abstract

In active spectroscopy of light scattering the phasing and strong excitation of the molecular vibrations are achieved by interaction of two light waves. The difference between frequencies of these waves should be equal to the frequency of natural molecular vibrations. Then the output power of Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) can exceed the output power of spontaneous scattering by 103–106.
