Abstract

Atomic Stern-Gerlach interferometry with time-dependent magnetic fields provides experimental evidence for atomic phase shift in force-free dynamical evolution. The Scalar Bohm-Aharonov effect is thoroughly investigated using a metastable hydrogen beam. Its main topological features are verified.
