Abstract
It is well known that according to the convenient photodetection theory, developed in the sixties by Glauber, Kelley, and Kleiner, the field bringing about the sub-Poissonian photocount statistics (with var(n) < 〈n〉, n being the photocount number in the measurement interval) cannot be described classically and represents the type of a squeezed state of light. Considerable interest has been attracted recently to generation of such a light with the use of negative feedback between the photodetector and the detected light beam.
