Phase Conjugation at 193 nm

Abstract

The shortest wavelength for which phase conjugation has thus far been observed is at 249nm using a KrF laser source. Both degenerate four-wave mixing (DWFM)(1) and stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS)(2) have been used to generate phase conjugate (PC) signals at this wavelength. We now report phase conjugate reflections at the shorter 193 nm ArF laser wavelength using SBS from a variety of solvents.
