Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate 6 × 6 coherent multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) crosstalk mitigation after simultaneous transmission of 3 spatially multiplexed 112-Gb/s PDM-QPSK channels over 24 km of a strongly-coupled 3-core fiber. The crosstalk in the fiber is about -4 dB and is almost completely canceled by MIMO processing.
