Polarization Insensitive Self-Homodyne Detection Receiver for 360 Gb/s Data Center Links

Abstract

We demonstrate a self-homodyne detection receiver without local oscillator lasers or carrier recovery DSP, which uses digital polarization alignment and dispersion compensation to recover a 96 GBaud 16QAM signal produced with a low cost 30 MHz wide linewidth transmission laser after 142 km transmission.
