Abstract
We propose and demonstrate all-optical three-input quaternary hybrid addition/subtraction using non-degenerate FWM processes in an HNLF and DQPSK signals. When employing 100-Gbit/s RZ-DQPSK signals (A, B, C), we achieve 50-Gbaud/s three-input quaternary addition/subtraction (A+B-C, A+C-B, B+C-A) with power penalties less than 6 dB at a BER of 10−9.
