ASE Noise Source-based BPSK Terrestrial Free-space Optical LPI Communication with Adaptive Optics

Abstract

In this paper we are presenting results from our one-mile-long free-space optical LPI communication link at University of Arizona for an ASE noise source based 5 Gb/s BPSK signal. We are reporting improvements in the BERs from using the adaptive optics to compensate for wavefront distortions in medium atmospheric turbulence.
