Analysis of the Nonlinear Propagation of Incoherent Laser Pulses

Abstract

The nonlinear propagation of incoherent pulses is studied using a normalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The range of coherence times for mitigation of intensity modulations in the plane-wave regime and mitigation of spatial self-focusing is identified.
