Adaptive Decision Threshold for Multipath Interference Impaired 40-Gb/s PAM4 IM/DD Optical Transmission

Abstract

We proposed an adaptive decision threshold (ADT) scheme for PAM4 transmission system with multipath interference (MPI) noise, which obtains the signal-to-interference tolerance of beyond 4 dB for 40 Gb/s PAM4 signal for different laser linewidths.
