All optical switching in a silicon nonlinear Fano resonator

Abstract

We present a low-power optically-controlled transmission switch realized with inverse-designed silicon photonic circuits, based on time-reversal-symmetric nonlinear response and geometrical asymmetry in a Fano resonator.
