Optimization of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering Gain in a Double-Stripe Si3N4 Waveguide

Abstract

We employ a genetic algorithm to optimize the stimulated Brillouin scattering gain coefficient i n a s ymmetric d ouble-stripe ( SDS) S i3N4 w aveguide. We a chieve 15 ×enhancement compared to previous results. Further, we verify the numerical findings with measurements for a selected set of SDS waveguides.
