67.5 Gbit/s PAM-8 Signal Transmissions Over 25-km SMF With a 1550-nm 10G-Class DML Using Machine Learning

Abstract

We report 67.5 Gbit/s PAM-8 signal transmissions over a 25-km SMF using a 1550-nm 12-GHz bandwidth DML. Performance below the HD-FEC level is achieved using a machine learning equalizer operating with baud-rate sampling.
