Frequency-Agility Probes Enable High Spatial Resolution for Digital Optical Frequency Comb-Based Fast BOTDA

Abstract

Utilizing frequency-agility probes in digital optical frequency comb-based fast BOTDA, a record 5 m spatial resolution over 5 km fiber with 4 MHz frequency resolution and 1 GHz bandwidth is demonstrated for the first time.
