Three-photon fluorescence microscopic imaging by a compact Er-doped fiber laser at 1.6 µm

Abstract

We report a high energy pulse generation scheme for three-photon fluorescence microscopy (3PM) by leveraging an L-band Er-doped fiber laser and chirped pulse amplifier. 3PM imaging is demonstrated on a mouse kidney slice.
