Polymer-Embedded Arrays of Vertical Silicon Nanowires as Color Filters

Abstract

We demonstrate color filters comprising silicon nanowire arrays embedded in polymer. Each array’s transmission spectrum contains one or more dips, whose positions can be tuned across the visible wavelength range by choice of nanowire radius.
