Controlling Cherenkov Radiation Emission through Self-accelerating Wave-packets

Abstract

We demonstrate the control of dispersive waves (Cherenkov-like radiation) excited by self-accelerating pulses propagating in optical fibers. We show that such dispersive waves can be effectively compressed/focused by simply tuning the pump pulse acceleration.
