Abstract

We demonstrate unidirectional monolithically integrated 4×4 optical circulators operating at 1.55 μm on InP. By exploiting the interplay between non-Hermiticity and nonlinearity, an isolation exceeding 20dB is experimentally observed with pulsed inputs.
