Effect of Dielectric Interfaces on Second-Harmonic Generation in Integrated GaN Resonators

Abstract

We investigate the influence of second-harmonic generation efficiency through choice of dielectric cladding for a GaN integrated ring resonator. Our devices suggest cladding can enhance or inhibit intrinsic nonlinearities through electric field induced second harmonic (EFISH) contribution.
