Atomic quantum memory as a time-frequency processor

Abstract

We introduce an atomic quantum memory with built-in spectro-temporal processing capabilities. We demonstrate temporal far-field imaging setup operating in a previously unexplored narrowband regime and show quantum-optimal measurement of frequency separation between two spectral lines.
