Non-classical correlation between mode-entangled pairs of surface plasmon polaritons

Abstract

We observe non-classical correlations between single photons outcoupled from surface plasmon modes carrying a superposition of angular momenta. The spatial distribution of the correlation indicates entanglement of surface plasmon pairs in the mode basis.
