Abstract

Compact diode-side-pumped eye-safe Er,Ybglass laser is passively Q-switched by transparent glass-ceramics containing CoMgAl,Ga2O4 and -CoGa2O3 spinel nanophases. The laser generates 1.39 mJ7.2 ns pulses energyduration at 1535 nm in the fundamental transverse mode.
