40W SESAM-modelocked Ho: YAG thin-disk laser at 2090 nm

Abstract

We demonstrate high-power SESAM, soliton-modelocking of a HoYAG thin-disk oscillator, delivering an output power of 40.5 W with pulse duration of 1.66 ps at a repetition rate of 52.2 MHz, corresponding to a pulse energy of 0.78 J.
