Abstract
Complete characterization of attosecond pulses with arbitrary ellipticity and possibly partial polarization is now particularly acute. State-of-the-art experimental setups have provided robust and practical means to generate high harmonics in the XUV and soft-X-ray range with controlled polarization [1]. This opens the way to generate isolated attosecond pulses and attosecond pulse trains with controlled ellipticity [2]. Such pulses will enable time-resolved studies of chiral-sensitive light-matter interaction, from electron dynamics in chiral molecules to ultrafast magnetization and spin transport, with unprecedented temporal resolution.
