Abstract

Recently, remarkable milestones towards an electrically pumped organic laser have been achieved. For organic thin-film devices, lùgli current densities have been reported. Furthermore, indirect electrical pumping of organic lasers with inorganic laser diodes has been demonstrated, enabling tunable hybrid laser devices for bioanalytics, fluorescence spectroscopy and homeland security [1]. However, neither an electrically pumped organic laser nor an optical amplifier has been shown yet.
