Abstract

Simultaneous or alternative double-wavelength operation of a single compact laser system attracts interest of laser researchers due to radiation-material interaction spectral properties during medical treatment or industrial material processing. Some applications require high-power Q-switched or mode-locked laser pulses, still hardly achievable with diode pumped lasers (mainly in the 1.3 μm band) and therefore the flashlamp-driven solid-state lasers are still in use.
